My Sister’s Place, Ansonia, CT 

We are seeking donations of new or gently used clothing, jewelry, shoes, outerwear and accessories, housewares and household goods, electronics (flat screen TVs only please), sporting goods, musical instruments, books, toys and furniture. Whether you’re an individual or an organization, have just a few items or a whole truck load, My Sister’s Place welcomes any donation (as long as items are in good, salable condition).

My Sister’s Place operates a donation center in the back of the store where volunteers and associates are available to help you.

ABOUT: My Sister’s Place, a unique family thrift shop located in Ansonia, CT, offers a first-class retail where all proceeds benefit victims of domestic violence and their children. 

St. Vincent de Paul of The Valley, 237 Roosevelt Drive, Derby CT 

Donate used items, almost anything, to be sold in our shop. 

ABOUT: The proceeds from our thrift shop help support our food bank. We are dedicated to aiding the elderly, homeless, working poor, physically handicapped and mentally challenged people of the Lower Naugatuck Valley in Connecticut.

Accepts donations of baby furniture, cell phones, food, household goods, personal care supplies, school supplies, and gift cards to grocery stores.

ABOUT: Safe Haven of Greater Waterbury provides crisis and support services for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Make a Home Foundation, Middlebury, CT 

Accepts donations of furniture and household furnishings for veterans and families in need. Will pick-up donations throughout Connecticut for fee; amount of fee depends upon location. Note: Cannot accept donation of furniture or furnishings that are broken, stained or ripped.

Proceeds from the sales of these items help Habitat’s work in your community and around the world. Habitat ReStore staff and volunteers make the donation process as simple as possible. You can always donate goods in person, and many Habitat ReStores offer free pickup of large items.
